Women’s Golf Program 2016
The Women’s Golf Program is designed for players of all skill levels. The emphasis will be on fun, and more fun – along with the development of golf skills for all participants. The program includes a full range of activities including Golf, Clinics, Social events, and Unlimited Practice. Come out often and receive the many benefits offered by the Rec District.

Back by popular demand is Ladies Golf (formally Women On Course) - designed to help women discover the joy and fun of the game of golf. The program is designed with social emphasis in mind. And, at the National we provide a great atmosphere to learn the game in a fun social setting. The focus of the program is for women to learn the game of golf, have fun, and make friends.
Weekly events include complementary clinics, golf competitions, social events and much more. Tuesday evening events will be golf play only with a different format weekly. Thursday evenings will feature clinics followed by a short 4 hole fun gulf event. WOC starts at 5 PM – with the season’s first event schedule for March 22nd. Call 433-2255 to reserve your spot. Golf events are at no cost to Park District members. There will be special discounts for any food and beverages offered at Women on Course events.
Women’s Day Golf – 9 and 18 hole division golf
Weekly morning play days with special events and fun formats for Women Golfers are offered on Wednesday mornings throughout the season. Each week the National will feature a special format for that week’s event. Tee times are available for 18 hole division players beginning at 8:30 am with nine-hole division play immediately following. Lunch and beverage specials will be featured weekly. Each week there will be prizes awarded immediately following play. Don’t have a regular group of players? Call the pro shop, and we will be happy to assist you in finding a game. The cost for golf is once again complementary to Park District women throughout the season. To book your time, call 433-2255.
Free Unlimited Range Use For District Women.
Hone your skills at the NGCLA Range. For the months of March through May all Rec District Residents enrolled in the program will receive complementary range balls. Come out often. Practice often. No clubs – No Problem. Clubs are available for use at no charge to District residents.
Free Spring Golf For Women Through May
Through May, golf is free at NGCLA for all enrolled Rec district women on all weekdays. On weekends, play is available after 12 noon with no charge to participants. Call the golf shop at 433-2255 to reserve your tee time. Tee times can be made for 2 to 4 golfers.
For Our New Women And Junior Golfers
Need Clubs? – We have Women and Junior clubs available for use for all park district women and junior golfers. Sets are available on a fist come first serve basis. It is our goal to carry a good selection of clubs for golfers who are learning the game. Please communicate to us your equipment needs so we can ensure that we have plenty of clubs for all participants.
Booking Tee Times – To make a tee time, you can either book the tee time on-line at NGCLA’s web-site or by calling the pro shop at 337-433-2255. Tee times can be made for 2 to 4 golfers. Golfers with less than 4 players may be paired with other individuals to complete a foursome.
Red Tees and Green Discs - Junior and Women tees are our red tee markers on the course. Additionally, we have Green Disc markers on each hole which allow beginners to enjoy the game during their learning phase. Golf is intended to be a fun game, and is best enjoyed when playing from the tees that are best suited for your game. Our staff will be happy to assist you in selecting the best set of tees to use for you and your group.
